UniTe
College students have faced numerous challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including limited social interactions and campus closures, leading to a weakened sense of community and various mental health issues. To address these problems, we created UniTe, an app that provides event information and an anonymous forum. The app offers event information customized to individual interests, including COVID safety details such as the number of attendees, mask preferences, and location specifics. While this allows students to come together physically, the anonymous forum enables them to build a community online by safely sharing their pandemic-related experiences.
Original Wireframes
Following additional research, we determined that the COVID-19 statistics and Organizations page could be accessed easily through other platforms. As a result, we decided to prioritize the Events page and the Anonymous Forum, as they contribute significantly to building a sense of community among the student body.
